Hi! After some discussion, we’ve decided that we are going to change the rule on applicable species and leave it open to any species you want, in-game or otherwise! As long as it’s an animal (though appearances based off of mythical creatures like Drago and Julian are fine as well since they’re animal-like) you’re good. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
Is applying with a very minor canon character (in this case Tate McGucket) allowed or should they have a certain amount of canon screentime attached to them?
so for the history section, i can not even remotely fit four expansions into two paragraphs, but i do have linkable synopses for the first three. would you prefer that i used those links and attempted to condense the fourth as much as possible, or [insert acceptable solution here]

1. Minor headcanons are not required to be in the application (i.e. favorite foods, colors, animals, etc. as long as they're not significant to the storyline), feel free to play with those as you please!

Hey, so!! What would be your ruling on a character with some severe physical limitation or without a physical body? To use my example from Discord, like a ghost from a canon where ghosts can't touch stuff?
The exact scenario is that Ritsu is an artificial intelligence, who exists digitally. She installed copies of herself on her classmates' phones, but she does technically have a main body!
That main body is, however, a box. Legitimately, it's a box with a screen and it's full of computer mumbo jumbo and also guns. This box is bolted to the floor (but bonus material does say that it's mobile underwater, for....some reason? somehow???) and has extremely limited ability to interact with the physical world.
Would a character like this be given a less restricted body?

Hi mods! In the case of going full animal, would characters stay the same size given the chibi style of AC or just be regular(human) sized anthro people?
Hello! We're leaving this for each player to decide individually what they want to play with. We know that some players may feel uncomfortable playing out radical body changes, whereas some may want to play with this; we're leaving it up to player discretion.

Regarding contacts: are the characters names just listed as text or do they have an image/avatar feature? And if so, are contacts already preloaded with a picture (i.e: the passport images) or not? Follow up question if also there is an image feature, can we use the camera application to replace/upload a photo for each contact?

Hello! Great questions all around!
The names (which are in text) also come with images! The default images that are pre-loaded onto the phones are the passport images. You are able to replace and upload photos for each contact as well as change their names; however, these changes will only be reflected in your character's phone as opposed to being changed across the board.

Perhaps a silly question, but is spear fishing okay to do? I know the spear could be considered a weapon but Kairi just wants to sharpen a stick to stab some fish.
Are clothes characters receiving from regains their size? Since he received a chic tuxedo dress, he probably won't know what to do with it LOL

A top level counts as one comment for each sub thread you turn in! So if two people replied to your top level, you can apply that top level to both thread turn-ins.

In regard to rewards and submitting threads, if there's a comment spam would we count all comments made in the spam? Or would it only count as one?
regarding DIYs, there are some DIYs that are created due to inspiration, for example... i think the easter egg suits (person finds those easter eggs # of times and they get inspired to make an outfit based on the easter egg) and pitfall seeds (person digs up a pitfall seed then is inspired to make one). will it work similarly here and would that need mod approval?

If the character has the ingredients and the desire or knowledge, they can craft something without the DIY... However, having the DIY will make the creation more polished and DIYs will only be handed out by the mods. So in the case of bait, characters can certainly use their clams and worms.

In terms of items that use X but X isn't available in the case of food, we'll have more available for you guys in the near future so hold off on that rice cooker for now. If there's another example you can think of that isn't food-related, let us know, it'd be helpful! We can make a more general ruling that way.

I know there isn't a language barrier in Vella, but if the character purposely tries to speak in another language, can they do it?
So for people trying to traverse the waters (either river or island) to check out the other side of the island, what dangerous things would prevent them from exploring further?
